Graduate Engineer
Hilaire joined Datum Rios in 2024 after graduating from Texas A&M University in December of 2023. There, she participated in research aimed at establishing a standard procedure for noninvasive monitoring and assessment of existing structures. At Datum Rios, Hilaire has quickly gained experience through the scope and nature of the projects she has joined. She is eager to learn and excited to see what her career at Datum Rios has in store.
Hilaire earned both her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Science in Structural Engineering from Texas A&M University.

What inspires you to work?
“I have always leaned into my artistic nature with my hobbies, but being able to do so in my line of work makes me excited to do my job every day. It allows me to problem solve for my community in a way that is challenging and creative, making every job fun and fulfilling.”
Why do you work for Datum Rios?
“Datum Rios is a place where a young engineer can drink from a water hose of experience and knowledge. Every project presents so many opportunities to learn and think outside of the box.”
What are a few top projects you have worked on?
“Projects I have enjoyed working on include: UT Dallas’ Student Union and Student Success Center, UT Dallas’ Arts and Performance Complex, and FWISD Advanced Learning Academy. Together, these projects have equipped me with design experience in every type of structural engineering material used in the industry, which is very valuable for creating a well-rounded structural engineer.”
