The Interdisciplinary Engineering & Academic Studies building is located in the core of the UTRGV Edinburg campus.  The new building houses 21,000 square feet of classroom space including eight 60-seat classrooms, six engineering teaching labs, two computer labs, a seminar room for doctoral students, and eight student meeting rooms for informal student gathering and collaboration.

Also integrated with the building architecture, a 3000 square foot "sombrilla" cable structure provides shade for exterior circulation.
