The Briscoe Museum of Western Art interprets the art, history, and culture of the American West through exhibitions, educational programs and public events reflective of the region's traditions and heritage. Datum Rios engineers helped interpret Lake Flato's architectural treatment by providing complex structural analyses and design.

Located on San Antonio's River Walk, the museum is housed in San Antonio’s first public library, providing almost 58,000 sq. ft. of gallery and exhibition areas on 4 levels. The Briscoe Campus includes the historic museum building, the Jack Guenther Pavilion and the McNutt Sculpture Garden.
