The city of Irving, Texas chose the heart of its Las Colinas community for its unconventional convention center. The building architect, RMJM North America, envisioned a striking, stacked and rotated design to create an iconic architectural expression.

Members of the Datum Rios team were challenged to preserve the architect's unique and complicated design without sacrificing functionality or building performance, all while working toward a very aggressive opening date.

 

The project was a recipient of an American Institute of Steel Construction IDEAS2 Award.
